Department of ship's Control

 The Department was formed in 1977. The first Head of the Department - experienced teacher, captain, candidate of technical Sciences, associate Professor Karapuzov A.I. The following years the Department was headed by the captain of far navigation, assistant Professor Seliverstov, V.A, and then the candidate of technical Sciences, associate Professor Matevosyan V.G.

Since 1992 the Department is headed by candidate of technical Sciences, Professor A.V. Mironov.

Among the first staff of the Department of ship’s control were captains, associated professors Fedchenko G.N., Andreenkov V.G., Sokolov L.S, senior lecturers Nemyatyi V. I., Kononov G.P., Filippov E. G.

Nowadays at the Department lectures: Professor S. I. Kondratiev, associate professors A.V. Mironov, E. V. Naydenov, O. T. Zuikov, D. G. Chernoglazov, E. E. Subanov, L. I. Egorova, senior lecturers S.A. Kirillov, D. P. Neustroev, K. G. Babayan.

The main scientific directions of the Department - ensuring navigation safety, improvement in the management of the vessel under different conditions of the voyage, the improvement of methods of vessels maneuvering.

The Department successfully engaged in methodical work, constantly updates and improves the base of laboratory workshop and tutorials.

Lecturers of the Department prepared and published a number of new teaching supplies on disciplines: "ship's Control", "Maneuvering of large-capacity vessels”, “Preventing collisions", "Technology of cargo transportation" and "Technology and organization of transportation".
