The University was visited by a delegation of a large Cypriot shipping company MARLOW NAVIGATION, which operates a fleet of about 1,000 ships of different types and sizes, on Board of which there are about 14,000 sailors of different nationalities. 24% of them are Russian sailors – officers of Junior, middle and senior command staff.
The delegation of the company included the HR Director Mr. JORN CLODIUS, the HR Manager captain MARTIN BANKOV and the Director of the Novorossiysk representative office of the company Mr. Andrey Bugrimov. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the organization of the educational process of Maritime specialists at the University , inspection of the training base and the selection of 4 course cadets navigators for swimming practice.
According to the results of the interview with the cadets conducted in English, 10 people were selected, to whom the company is guaranteed to provide seats on its vessels for practical training with the prospect of subsequent employment on the results of the practice.
For coordination of all legal and organizational questions of practical training between University and the company the agreement on cooperation is signed. The guests highly appreciated the organization of the educational process at the University and the quality of training equipment.
